Question FloristWare did not print out a worksheet for my order. |

Answer 1. Check Your Settings > Policy - Order Filling It is not uncommon for a flower shop to take orders well in advance of the fulfillment date (the date when the order will actually be delivered or picked up). FloristWare allows you to specify how far in advance of the fulfillment date you would like the worksheet to print out. Missing worksheets are most commonly the result of taking orders for pick-up or delivery well in advance of the fulfillment date. For example - let's say you take an order for delivery ten days from now and your Order-Filling setting is set to 3. That means it won't be printed until three days before the fulfillment date. Your worksheet is not missing, FloristWare is just waiting until the specified time to print it. 2. The Order Was Actually Entered As A Simple (Cash & Carry) Sale Even experienced users can sometimes make the mistake of entering an order as a simple cash & carry sale. With new users this is even more likely to be the culprit. The differences between orders and simple sales are explained in other articles. The big difference is that with a simple sale the assumption is that a customer is simply taking a prepared item with them - there is no worksheet. With an order you are going to prepare flowers to be picked up or delivered at a later time/date and there will be a worksheet. It is not uncommon for a user to mistakenly enter an order as a sale in which case there will be no worksheet because the order details (time, date, place, etc.) are not even recorded. It is assumed that the customer took the product with them. A good way to know for sure is to use the Find/Refund A Sale Or Order tool to get the details. This will tell you whether it was entered as a sale or order. 3. Printing Problems The other possible explanation is that worksheets are going to the printer but not actually printing. This would be noticeably different because (unlike the other two scenarios) FloristWare would tell you that it was trying to print the worksheets but you would never see them. It is also likely that you would get some kind of error message from the computer and/or printer. The most important thing to do here is to check your printer and clear any errors. |

Details Each order you enter into FloristWare will ultimately generate what we call a worksheet. A worksheet is a document that contains all of the information needed to fill and deliver the order. You may encounter a situation where it seems that FloristWare has missed a worksheet for an order that you have taken. While this can be alarming it usually boils down to one of three things, all very easily resolved. |
