Customers (First & Last Name) are individuals that order from you. For marketing purposes, you typically want to 'market' to a person versus 'XYZ Manufacturing', that person is deciding to purchases flowers from you, versus the 'other shop'.
By creating a relationship to an individual as a customer vs business, you can entice both 'personal' sales whereby they pay using cash or credit, as well as a 'business' sales whereby they charge to an Account (XYZ Manufacturing) for payment at a later date.
A 'business' customer (Business Name = Last Name in FloristWare) indicates that you may not hold a relationship with any one person in particular and are not interested acquring individual type data.
As FloristWare gives you the ability to retain multiple addresses on file for each customer, you can maintain Home, Business, Workplace, and more adddresses than ever before. We suggest that all customers be created as individuals, and that you accumulate both personal and business information for sales and marketing purposes going forward.
